Our free CPD sessions provide teachers with up-to-date knowledge and free teaching resources they can use in the classroom. Each session is standalone, so you choose how many to attend, 1, 2 or 3:
Session One: European Parliament teaching resources
9am - 10.30am
Find out about a range of free European Union and European Parliament teaching resources that are suitable for key stages 3, 4 and 5, and how to use them in the classroom. All delegates will receive a variety of free resources including: “EP: What’s that?” and “Crisis Point”.
Session Two: The European and UK Parliaments
11am - 12.30pm
This session will look at the European and UK Parliaments in the context of the wider EU and the UK. How are decisions made in the EU and who is responsible for decision-making? We'll ensure that you have all the knowledge you need to feel comfortable teaching about the EU and these two important parliaments.
Session Three: Meet a MEP
1.30pm - 2.30pm
Your opportunity to meet a MEP from the London region. Discover the impact of the recent European Parliament elections, what they do and their priorities in this Parliament. Find out how they can work with your school and students, followed by a question and answer opportunity.
