For the first ICRS Fellows Hub event of 2025, we will be focusing on the evolving role of sustainability professionals in light of fast-moving disclosure requirements and challenges.

Many of you may have experienced the focus of your roles changing as your organisations and those that you work with seek to navigate and respond to disclosure requirements on climate, nature, social value and wider materiality issues.

For some, this might have required a focus shift to coordinating the engagement and alignment of a range of functions across organisations, or a move in time spent on sustainability strategy to a compliance focus and for others a concentration on data systems and data management.

This session will take the form of a discussion on these topics to explore how roles are changing and the challenges you face, featuring a speaker with deep expertise in sustainability management and practice.

Kirsty Green-Mann, Group Head of Sustainability at Hays PLC

Kirsty has some 20 years’ experience as a senior corporate sustainability professional shaping strategy and working on a breadth of ESG issues. She is currently Group Head of Sustainability at Hays PLC, which is a global recruitment and talent services business. Whilst the role has some client interactions, it is predominately focused in-house with a global remit. Experience over the years include strategy, climate action, sustainability communications and disclosures,

community engagement and respect of human rights. Prior to joining Hays, Kirsty worked at the leading UK commercial law firm Burges Salmon LLP and before that Imperial Brands PLC. At Imperial, in addition to formulating and deploying global strategy, she worked in multi-stakeholder partnerships to address sustainability and social impact in the supply chain, particularly in Sub-Sahara Africa. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (FICRS), the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (FIEMA) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD).
