About this event

		The Exchange Symposium 2021 image

The Exchange Symposium celebrates the positive influence of community and public involvement on university research.

Universities aim to tackle global challenges, and their research has a substantial impact on society – the COVID-19 vaccines being the latest example. But this work doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Research is highly collaborative, bringing together many disciplines, perspectives and experiences, and researchers are not separate from the society that they are working in and for.

Over this three-day event, we will share a number of examples of University of Exeter researchers collaborating with different communities on a huge range of projects. The common goal is to exchange knowledge and skills for mutual benefit.

The days have been arranged thematically and we hope you can join us for as much of the programme as possible –

Friday 2 July – PROCESS (HOW WE DO IT)

To combat Zoom-fatigue we have allowed time between sessions.

Please register your place for the event by clicking the register button at the top of this page.

You will be automatically registered for all sessions bar one – see A Slow Ritual of Care below. Your Exchange Symposium ticket includes Data and Trust, the Agile Rabbit event on Thursday evening.

Joining details will be sent prior to the event.

Please note if you wish to attend the A Slow Ritual of Care, held on Thursday 17 June and Thursday 1 July (10:00 - 11:30 each day), you will need to register for this event separately by selecting this ticket in addition to the Exchange Symposium ticket. There are only 8 places available and it is vital that you commit to attending BOTH sessions. Please contact the Events Team if you would like to join the waiting list. If you are unable to attend the workshops, there will be a discussion session open to all delegates on Friday 2 July – this is part of your ticket for the Exchange Symposium.

Please note the sessions will be recorded and shared with delegates following the event.
