About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

If you've ever worked with a team or group where there's an elephant in the room, you'll know the impact it can have:

  • trust can be hard to develop or maintain
  • there's often more unsaid than said
  • the dynamics in the room can shift and move without warning
  • progress can be transient or stalled altogether

Understanding why elephants occur, and more importantly how to handle them as a facilitator or trainer, can make such a difference.

Join me to explore elephants in all their different guises and find out which techniques we can use to support and enable groups in this situation.

As well as exploring elephants, these sessions are also a lovely opportunity to connect with other facilitators and share experiences and ideas. The group won't be larger than 12 people and it's a warm and friendly space.

Welcome to The Facilitation Space - a place dedicated to helping facilitators develop, grow and enhance their skills. I’ve been facilitating for over 20 years - everything from leadership programmes to strategy sessions with exec teams to team away days. For the last 5 years I've been working virtually, regularly facilitating leadership programmes virtually for small and large organisations.

I absolutely love facilitating and what it can bring to individuals, teams and organisations. I also love supporting other facilitators - holding spaces for them to explore,.discover and grow - as well as have lovely, rich conversations about facilitation.
