Description

For the first time Vauxhall City farm will be hosting 3 great live acts on the farm.

Lucy Zirins

London based singer-songwriter Lucy Zirins hails from the small town of Burnley, Lancashire. With visits to Italy and France under her belt by the time she was 18 years old, Lucy began gigging solo at just 16. She picked up the guitar aged 12 after inheriting one from her late Uncle and began songwriting early on.

Her first album “Chasing Clocks” debuted to great press reviews and airplay from national BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 6, with respected Maverick Magazine saying: “There are not too many debut albums as promising as this” (4 stars) and R2 Magazine praising the album for it’s “modern folk-tinged country” sound and Lucy’s vocal delivery.

Lucy has received a number of accolades including being picked by the PRS as one of their “Class of 2010” for her promise as a young UK songwriter. She was a UK Country Radio songwriter finalist and presented the awards in 2016. She has been nominated for the British Blues Awards in various categories both as a songwriter and artist for the past 4 years, winning in 2013. Recent live highlights include a sell-out gig at the Green Note in Camden. Lucy continues to tour, graduating from BIMM London in 2017 where she is studying for a BA in Songwriting and is working on her new album with producer Jim Knight.

  • “Great British music weaving great musical traditions together, creating a modern fresh sound… Lucy’s songwriting skills are awesome.” – Blues Matters! Magazine

  • “Listening to Lucy is like sampling a fine wine after drinking the regular stuff. Beautiful songs, beautifully sung.” - Man in the Hat Blog

  • “(A) beautifully produced debut album… Modern folk-tinged country that perfectly suits the singer’s voice…In Zirins’ voice there’s a delicacy mixed with strength and an authentic country twang. Her delivery is impeccable and well judged for one so young” - R2 (Rock ‘n’ Reel) Magazine on “Chasing Clocks”
