The Fashion Hackathon
Learn Fashion’s Biggest Challenges
Be introduced on stage in the next NY Tecy Meetup and win a chance to pitch your app on the runway at New York Fashion Week
Saturday-Sunday, February 2-3, 2013
Fashion and Tech — two disparate industries — will merge to solve retail and e-commerce challenges at the world’s first fashion hackathon.
On February 2-3, Decoded Fashion will bring together 200 top developers to accelerate innovation at the intersection of Fashion and Retail, and to open the door to partnerships between startups and established brands.
The goal? To create an app with the most innovative ability to support and promote the CFDA's mission by solving any of the pivotal industry issues outlined by the Fashion Brief panelists.
The Challenge will be presented at the FASHION BRIEF — a panel of top Industry leaders including designers and executives representing brands and retailers — at 11 am on Saturday. They will open the Hackathon competition with a discussion of the industry’s hits and misses.
This frank Q&A is an open conversation about what problems face the Fashion and Retail industries. We will also learn what solutions they are craving for, the types of startup pitches they like the most and the ones they do not. We will also learn valuable information on how these industries operate, and the timing to pitch and launch new tech ideas.
STRICT DOOR POLICY
This event caters ONLY to those registered to participate in a Hackathon team (develop, design or marketing/ideas). Other attendees will only be allowed on Sunday, the Pitch Day.
