SESSION OUTLINE

Dr Nicky Keay will explore the reciprocal relationship between female hormones and the gut microbiome and its impact on women’s health. The presentation will discuss:

  • The changing dynamics between sex hormones and the gut microbiota during perimenopause and menopause.

Ro Huntriss RD will provide a comprehensive overview of fertility nutrition, encompassing essential dietary components and lifestyle factors that can significantly influence reproductive health including:

  • The emerging body of research on the influence of the gut microbiome on female reproductive health.
  • Examining the relationship between common conditions that impact fertility (e.g. PCOS and endometriosis), and the role the gut microbiome may play in these reproductive disorders as well as how therapeutic interventions may support their management.
