About this Event
Harriet Welty Rochefort grew up in Iowa, traveled to France after graduating from college, and never left. She is the author of three nonfiction books about the French. Harriet lives with her French husband, Philippe, in Paris.
In June of 2020, Harriet published her first work of fiction, Final Transgression, a harrowing story of love and loss during the Nazi occupation of France. In Final Transgression, 85-year-old Caroline Aubry tells the tale of the tragic wartime destiny of her beloved younger sister, Severine, a beautiful and intelligent woman but obstinate and unaware, two traits that will ultimately seal her fate.
