These globally-renowned and passionate, plant-focused food bloggers will host a beautiful and memorable dining experience together in Toronto.
Join us as we share recipes from Laura Wright’s debut book "The First Mess" & Sarah Britton’s second cookbook, "Naturally Nourished", with a fantastic community of like-minded food lovers!
There is a lot to celebrate so lets get going:
Chef Nick Liu of enRoute magazine’s No. 4 pick for Canada’s Best New Restaurant, the Asian brasserie hotspot DaiLo will team up with Chef Guy Rawlings of his new Canadiana-focused restaurant Montgomery’s to create a multicourse menu of plant-based recipes from these remarkable cookbooks. Each chef will bring their unique flair to the recipes.
To pair alongside these dishes will be wines by Canada’s 2016 Winery of the Year, the family-owned organic and biodynamic Tawse Winery. Paul Pender, head winemaker at Tawse will be onsite to pour Niagara’s award-winning wines.
Tea Sommelier and owner of the bespoke tea company Pluck Teas, Jennifer Commins will also concoct exclusive & delicious teas for this event only.
This special cookbook launch will be held at the contemporary & elegant Alison Milne Gallery, which is home to some of Toronto’s most exciting exhibitions of modern painting, photography, mixed media, video and sculpture.
Enhancing the gallery dining rooms, to match the theme of the day, will be landscape architect Victoria Taylor who will adorn the space with her brilliant touch.
Guests will also bliss out to the tunes of Niagara’s Michael Saracino.
