"Give yourself time to make, find meaning and be mindful"

We are running 2 x 3hr sessions at our St Ives Hub on Thursdays

13th July 2017 Focus: Mixed Media and Art Collage

20th July 2017 Focus: Meaningful Jewellery Making

The Fixing Shop is our exciting new project that enables you to make treasures from old unloved items such as small pieces of homeware, jewellery, clothing and even furniture. We have a tailored focus on each day (see above) but at the same time we will be exploring ideas about mindfulness to create a little space for yourself to improve your well being. On both sessions we will also have the sewing machine out to up-cycle your clothes or maybe you'd like to decoupage that old picture frame? Limited spaces so please do book soon to reserve your place.

With expert advice from our tutors, you are sure to take home a beautiful hand-crafted items at one of our amazing Thursday Workshops. We aim to make your experience of community education as fun and as inspiring as we can with the aim to give you some quality teaching and skills.

Our experienced and talented tutors welcome beginners to those more experienced and facilitate a whole lot of learning. All materials, tools and equipment needed for any session are included - from thousands of beads, reams of papers and glues galore to fabrics and jewellery-making tools.

These course are subsidised with funding from Cambridgeshire County Council therefore we will need you to complete an enrolment form on the day.

When booking please ensure you purchase the correct workshop. These are split by week so check before committing to buy.

We believe your creative time is precious and we're here to help you make the most of it!

The Fixing Shop workshops include mindfulness techniques and well-being activities, giving you time to make, find meaning and be mindful. Join us in the lovely Cambridgeshire town of St Ives from 10am - 1pm. We finish just in time to make a day of it by visiting one of the many lovely teashops or cafes for a spot of lunch.

Group sizes are small and friendly with only 7 learners per workshop. Here's some things people have said about our workshops -

"Welcoming and peaceful and great for just having space."

"Great to spend time with like-minded people."

"I have learnt so much and this has been great for my confidence."
