About this event
Spark your creativity and make new discoveries and breakthroughs in your writing. This empowering and enlivening online session offers a space for you to show up as you are and develop your creative ideas without self-judgment or distraction.
At the start, you’ll be guided through an embodied, flow-state practice to connect to your creative essence and aliveness. Creative flow states will expand your imagination, heighten your intuition, and unlock your creative subconscious. You'll be given writing prompts to help you go with the flow!
Come as you are. Leave feeling inspired, energised, connected and creative.
· Writers are welcome to work on their own projects or free-write.
· A writing exercise/ prompt will be available.
· You won’t be asked to share your writing.
· All levels of experience are welcome, from complete beginners to seasoned writers.
· Cameras on or off, up to you.
· Mics are muted.
The Flow State Writers' Hour is for you if:
· You're feeling creatively blocked or have creative anxiety.
· You’re procrastinating, feel stuck or overwhelmed and don’t know where to begin.
· You’re burdened by self-doubt, overthinking and crippling expectation.
· You feel drained, stressed, exhausted or you're struggling to find the time or energy to write.
· You’re seeking new inspiration for your writing.
What to expect
We will start by introducing ourselves and sharing our intentions for the writing session, followed by a guided flow-state practice. We will write for around 45 minutes. There will be time at the end for sharing reflections and insights and connecting with other writers (optional).
Meet your host, Navreet
Navreet is a writer, storyteller and performer. Her writing has been published in various anthologies and featured on BBC Radio 4 and The Moth Podcast. The Flow State Writers' Hour draws on her training and experience in embodied presence for performance, conscious movement and yoga.
