Creativity Walk - The Forest of Curiosity
Once upon a summer’s day, a group of brave young wanderers will set off from Bursledon Train Station on a magical quest to discover the hidden wonders of the natural world.
Together with artist and forest guide Alice Louisa, you’ll take part in a gentle circular walk through woodlands and meadows, heading toward the leafy trails of River Hamble Country Park. The path takes us from the bustle of the station, along a short stretch of pavement by the road (grown-ups: this is hand-holding time!), before opening up into peaceful, shaded forest paths.
Along the way, we’ll gather leaves, twigs, feathers, and forest-found wonders to turn into wild, wonderful woodland art. Searching for curious shapes, colours, and textures in nature. Children will be invited to gather natural materials like fallen leaves, feathers, bark, or petals and use them to create mini works of art in the forest.
This walk is all about looking deeply, seeing what others miss, and letting curiosity lead the way. It’s perfect for families who want to slow down, get creative outdoors, and feel connected to the world around them.
You’ll leave with muddy boots, leafy pockets, and a whole new way of seeing the world.
