The forgotten voice: invisible illnesses you need to remember
Thu 25 May 2017, 18:30 – 21:00 BST
In this day an age, with a growing emphasis on health and wellbeing in the workplace as well as a better work-life balance, the arena for looking outside of the box has grown exponentially. The chance to connect with our employees and start working around the usual 9-5 image of a job means that we can truly make a difference.
People living with invisible illnesses are a workforce that we can, and should, work with. Taking the time to working around someone's invisible illness not only allows you to great great trust and loyalty with your employees, but unlock a level of productivity that you may never have considered.
We want to open discussions in Edinburgh about the posibility that thinking outside of the box can bring untold benefits to your company. This networking event is all about bringing decision makers and those that power through every day with an invisible illness to come together and start speaking about alternative work-life balances.
The event will be held at the Holiday Inn in Corstorphone, Edinburgh. They will have an amazing spread of food available fore the event which starts at 6:30 PM. Drinks will be available to purchase, alcoholic or non, throughout the event which will wrap up at 9 PM.
With the event being focused on the dibilitating disease M.E./Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, we will be fundraising for the charity Action For M.E. The fundraising will include not only a raffel but also an auction - with prizes from Meadowlark Yoga Studio, Arbonne, Forever, and Yoga, my bed and M.E. among many others!
