The Forgotten Women of Dorset's Past: an introduction to how bones can help us understand the stories of everyday women lost to history. Five women, from five different places and times, each with a tale to tell. Using osteobiographical techniques such as facial approximation and radiocarbon dating we are able to reconstruct these stories piece by piece.

Amber Manning is a BU Bioarchaeology MSc graduate, currently working in fieldwork for Wessex Archaeology. With a scientific background in anatomy and a passion for art, Amber created the model of Kimmeridge Women as part of her Master's dissertation back in 2023.
