The FIRM Birmingham Conference - 11th May! Join Us

Understanding the interviewee: you’ve probably conducted hundreds of interviews, maybe even thousands. But when was the last time you were in their shoes? Totaljobs will put you there. Join us for our “Understanding the interviewee” session where we’ll visualise the interviewee experience for you, demonstrating the common emotions felt by interviewees and delivering insight to help you get the most out of your interviews and your candidates. We’ll also be giving a glimpse into the future: with the rise of virtual platforms and AI, is the interview as we know it on the way out?

Starting with a Dream: How the Apprenticeship Reforms can help your organisation create a best in class development proposition. Kate Temple-Brown is an optimistic practitioner who has spent the past year delving into and speaking to experts in order to understand the best way for organisations to maximise the Apprenticeship Levy opportunity and see how leveraging these changes can lead to attracting, hiring and retaining a more diverse and better skilled population in a cost effective way.

Implementing an ATS at PBA – Our Journey In 2016 Peter Brett Associates (PBA), an independent practice of engineers, planners, economists and scientists, embarked on a journey from recruiting with spreadsheets to implementing an end-to-end ATS & Recruitment CRM. Emma Chorlton, Recruitment Business Partner at PBA will share her experiences of the journey and discuss how to engage your key stakeholders and evaluate your recruitment processes to ensure a successful ATS implementation.

Anna Steele, Creed Communications will be looking at Digital attraction strategies – How to: Innovate, measure, optimise and predict future success. In this session, we’ll be talking about innovation in candidate attraction and how the complexities of reaching people today in a busy multi-connected world bring many challenges in measurement and value attribution. We’ll demonstrate how important multi-device measurement is as well as how we track candidates all the way through their journey from their first encounter with your brand to receiving an offer, and how we use this performance data to reduce media spend and improve campaign effectiveness. We’ll also shed some light on how to evaluate the measurement tools and performance data you currently have access to, in order to assess the whole picture.

Case Study - Steve McNally MDTalentscape’s pioneering Programmatic Advertising Campaign for Dimensions UK sought to engage with people who have the values and skills to become Support Workers - targeting “passive” potential candidates by their general online behaviour, as well as through “re-targeted” carousel and video-led advertising on Facebook.
