Introduction to The Four Agreements

About this event

FREE Wellbeing retreats and workshops exclusively for health and care staff.

With the support of Leeds Health and Care One Workforce, we are pleased to be able to offer this workshop for people who work in the NHS, local government, primary care, independent care providers, the third sector and education in Leeds.

Please book via your work email to confirm your eligibility.

In this workshop we’ll be exploring the unhelpful agreements that we make and introducing you to The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. The book was first published in 1997 and with an endorsement from Oprah Winfrey, it soon sold millions of copies in the US, was translated into 46

languages, and was a mainstay on the New York Times bestseller list for over a decade.

In this workshop we will be exploring the thinking behind the book and each of the four agreements.

In this workshop we will:

  • Introduce you to the Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
  • Explore where the beliefs of ‘not being good enough’ come from and how we can begin to change them
  • Consider the unhelpful and negative words we use, to communicate with ourselves, when we show kindness and compassion to others
  • Learn to accept that our best is always, good enough

Wellbeing retreat for people working in the NHS, health, care and education sectors in Leeds

With the support of Leeds Health and Care One Workforce, these experiential sessions are exclusively for people who work in the NHS, local government, primary care, independent care providers, the third sector and education in Leeds.

Our events have specifically been designed to provide time for health care staff to reflect on their own mental and emotional health, allowing opportunities to consider their own wellbeing needs and connect with peers who have been working through the pandemic.

Each retreat has up to 14 places

You will be contacted by the admin team to complete a booking form for this event. We will also need to be aware of any special dietary requirements as The Jamyang Buddhist Centre will be providing a light lunch. If you can kindly let us know if you would prefer rice and dahl or a jacket potato with cheese and beans.
