The full five courses: The employment lifecycle - HR training courses
Tue, 25 Apr 2017, 08:30 – Tue, 20 Jun 2017, 10:30 BST
If your role includes HR, you’re a manager or you’re simply looking for a general overview of employment law issues, then our new HR Training course is designed to add value to your current role.
Employment relations issues are by their nature reactive. Having a better understanding of employment law in practice will equip you to deal with workplace queries and mitigate the risks of disputes efficiently and effectively.
Between April and June 2017, our employment solicitor Helen Lucas will be running a series of five HR training courses covering what you need to know about the lifecycle of the employment relationship. The course content will cover:
Recruitment and employment contracts - Tuesday 25 April
Dealing with sickness - Thursday 11 May
Managing performance - Tuesday 23 May
Disciplinary and grievance - Thursday 8 June
Dismissing an employee - Tuesday 20 June
You’ll see that we have designed an interactive course programme, covering not only the legal position but practical employment scenarios in which you can apply your learning. At the end of each session you will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss your thoughts on the different employment law issues that you’re likely to come across in practice. In order to get the most out of these training sessions we would recommend that you, attend each session. Each workshop acts as a step above the last, enabling you to consistently build your employment knowledge as the employment lifecycle progresses. That said, it’s not compulsory and the workshops can be attended in isolation. Detailed workbooks and breakfast will be provided.
Timing: 8.30am – 10.30am
Price: £70 plus VAT per session
