Join us for a pivotal event exploring how retrofit certification must evolve to meet the climate and housing challenges of the coming decade while ensuring products are compliant and safe.
Hosted by BRE as part of the Transform-ER project, this collaborative session will bring together policymakers, researchers, retrofit professionals, insurers and certification bodies to chart a new course for compliance and innovation in sustainable building upgrades.
What to expect:
Insightful presentations, including highlights from Transform-ER’s work on creating a route map for simplified certification - uncovering systemic pain points and barriers in current retrofit certification processes.
Interactive workshops to confront key questions:
- Why must certification change? Values, opportunities and the personal responsibilities from political leadership to building control and insurance.
- What do we need — in terms of data, tools, and regulation — to build trust and scale impact?
- What is the future pathway and what will it take to make it happen?
Shared outputs from each session will feed directly into a roadmap for action and policy engagement.
The event will be held at the MTC in Liverpool Science Park in the heart of the city.
Join us for refreshments from 9.30am for a 10am start. A light lunch will be provided.
