Event description

Description

The All Party Parliamentary Group for Design and Innovation (APDIG) and CHEAD are delighted to host a roundtable discussion and networking event to discuss the future for design education following the recent decision to Leave the European Union. This offers a unique opportunity for senior members of the creative industries to meet with senior policy makers to decide on how the sector can respond to the effects of Brexit and to also consider the outcomes for design and innovation in the immediate aftermath of the Autumn Statement.

The event is kindly hosted by Baroness Whitaker and will be opened by Anita Taylor, Chair of CHEAD and Dean of Bath School of Art and Design at Bath Spa University.

Speakers

  • Sharon Hodgson MP: Shadow Minister for Public Health and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group Art, Craft and Design in Education
  • Robert Mull: Former Director of Architecture and Dean of the Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design in London
  • George Windsor: Senior Policy Researcher in Creative and Digital Economy

Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.
