Description

The Future of Business Intelligence is at the forefront of many business strategies and what to do with the ever evolving tools and technologies is left to question. What do we need to do as a company to ensure the completion of this project? What do I need to do as a candidate to ensure I am competitive in the market and what skills are turning into requirments? This will be an insightful information with a relaxed and engaged atmosphere to kick start your week.

There will be guest speakers on the evening speaking about topics such as BIML, Data Analytics, BI and question and answer fields. There will be a panel talk momentum for the last 20 minutes of the event so if you have any questions you would like to ask the panel, please let me know and I can arrange this. This will be an opportunity for you to ask our panel of experts questions around your business, your technologies, and get their thoughts on what will work best.

Speaker 1: Joe Kelly is the Data Team Lead in iQuate,

Joe works for Iquate, who develop iQSonar, a world leading Datacentre Discovery tool that can be used for Software Asset Management or to derive Move Groups for Digital Transformation projects. After a career in the Irish Army, he has worked on Large Exchange networks, Systems Management, Retail Data Warehouse development, Master Data Management and currently Data Architecture and Integration.

The topic of the presentation is BIML, Business Intelligence Markup Language. If you work with SSIS, you really will want to learn about what BIML can do for you. BIML can be a means to overcome the problem of Source Code Control with SSIS packages, Pattern Driven Design approach to ETL, auto generation of many packages by Template and Rapid prototyping of ETL projects.

Speaker 2: Max Cottica – Head of Data Science and Solutions @ AIB

Max has been working with data and analytics for over 30 years and has been at the heart of change and transformation in renowned IT companies, government bodies and finance firms. Max is very passionate about the industry and has a large interest in technology and how it can transform the way we work and live. In recent years Max has embraced the big data and open source revolution and is an evangelist for the adoption of Hadoop and its ecosystem in the enterprise. His landscape of expertise also includes modern data warehousing, organizational models, delivery execution and SDLC, agile methodologies and team building.

Max will discuss topics along Data Analytics, BI, and more.

Speaker 3: Ian Pepper, CTO at Novartis

Ian is an inovative and experienced technology leader with over 25 years’ experience in high technology companies ranging from start-ups to nascent SMEs, over half of those at CTO level. Ian is currently leading activities in Novartis around big data and analytics.” Ian will be discussing how to get Value from your Data Lake. Synopsis, many enterprises are deploying data lakes, often these do not live up to their initial promise. So, this talk will show how self-service can help drive value.

Speaker 4: Wa'el Muhammad, Big Data Project Manager and Data Modelling Lead at IBM

Wa'el is a qualified Business Intelligence Consultant /IT Project Manager with over 8 years of experience among Multinational Companies and Top brands like Vodafone International in Egypt, Al Diyar Qatar, NTT Data Spain and finally IBM Ireland as DBA, Senior BI Engineer, Data Service Delivery manger ,& finally, as Big Data project manager / Data Architect.

Wa'el will talk around the Business Intelligence Trends in the Market and finally talk regarding "Eureka!" whcih is a new project representing these trends.
