Event description
We are delighted to be joined by Julia Unwin CBE for our Civil society debate and VAS' AGM

About this Event

“Neither the market nor the state alone can re-thread our social fabric, rebuild our democracy and respond to the challenges of a rapidly changing age. We must be at the heart of it. We must lead the way.“

Julia Unwin CBE, Chair of Civil Society Futures and former Chief Executive of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, joins us to give her perspective through the lens of Civil Society Futures - the independent inquiry chaired by Julia in 2018.

As part of our Annual General Meeting, we want to stimulate a conversation around the role of civic action and civil society in the future of our city.

Julia will be joined from a panel of Sheffield leaders will consider some of the challenges and opportunities highlighted by the Commission.
