The Future of Creativity in Psychological Therapies:

Common Ground or Practice plurality?

Psychological therapies are continuing to evolve in increasingly pragmatic and responsive ways within healthcare contexts. Where does the learning come from and how do we make sense of research and theory in practice across the domains of psychological intervention. Central to this conference is the role of creativity in making sense of experience, developing practice and imagining the future of psychological therapies.

We have organised this conference to address the relationship between psychological therapies, emergent paradigms and collaborations. Some of the concepts relating to mentalization, cognitive and psychodynamic theories will be familiar to us, however we will also see new developments on the frontiers of developing a common ground as well as differentiated ways of practicing.
