The Future of Education
Event Information
About this Event
This talk lays out some provocations for our thinking on why we educate, how we do it, and who is involved. Digital revolution is certainly one of the core issues. So is the revolution in social and political grounds-of-being as we come to understand that many of the complexities we live in cannot be entirely understood; that partial knowledge often must suffice; and that it is the quality of our relationships that so often determines the quality of our lives, singular and collective.
Dr Alison Wood has spent twenty years obsessed with the questions 'What are Universities really for?'. More recently, she has focused that question towards the work Universities can and must do in the face of geo-political instability and acute climate emergency. She's currently founding Academic Director of Homerton Changemakers, & Fellow, Homerton College, University of Cambridge https://www.linkedin.com/in/dr-alison-wood-about/
