Description

Drawing upon findings from the ECHO project, this half day event will provide an opportunity to exchange ideas about the challenges and opportunities facing the provision of social care in extra care housing (ECH).

The workshop is aimed at commissioners of adult social care and providers and managers of extra care housing. It will be chaired by Jeremy Porteus, Director of the Housing LIN and will cover the following themes:

  • ECH residents’ changing care needs

  • Organising care work in ECH

  • Dementia in ECH

  • Commissioning ECH

  • The future of ECH

Presentations will be followed by a panel discussion where there will be the opportunity to ask questions about the ECHO project and engage in discussion with other key stakeholders in ECH.

Lunch will be provided on arrival. Please email Ellie (Eleanor.johnson@bristol.ac.uk) with any special dietary or accessibility requirements.

There is no charge to attend this event but please book a place here. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
