The Future of Farming

Join us at this free event to hear knowledgeable speakers talk about the current opportunities and issues in the agricultural sector. There will also be an opportunity to participate in a Q & A session with the speakers.

The Speakers

Roddy McLean, Director of Agriculture for NatWest

Roddy is responsible for updating all areas of the bank regarding the farming sector. He helps to shape the Bank’s policy towards farming and gets involved in some of the larger or unusual funding requests. His roots are in agriculture - before joining NatWest he worked for some twenty years in an agricultural consultancy in NE Scotland and at home in the Eastern Scottish Borders.

Roddy will be presenting on ‘2017 & Beyond – The Challenges and Opportunities for Agriculture’.

Marial Edwards, Operations Manager, Farming Connect

Marial will be providing:

- an overview of the funded services available through the Farming Connect project including the Advisory Service, Discussion Groups, Skills & Mentoring, Events and the Demonstration Network
- information on how eligible farmers and foresters can access the funded services.

Dulas, Environmental Consultants

Dulas specialise in the profitable delivery of renewable energy projects. Their consultants have thirty years of experience and success across hydro, solar PV and wind power schemes. One of their consultants will be discussing the current opportunities and issues in this sector and providing information on the services Dulas offer.

Light refreshments will be available.

Please note that this event is open to all – you are welcome to join us even if you aren’t a NatWest customer.

We look forward to seeing you there.
