About this event

Science & Tech • Other

Join Lakeland farmers John and Maria, British wool researcher and knitwear designer Dr Zoe Fletcher, Deborah Barker founder of Fibreshed South East, Fashion Systems Researcher Dr Mila Burcikova, and Laurie Peake Artistic Director of the British Textile Biennial to discuss the crucial role farming plays in the textile industry across the North of England.

The talk will be from 2-3pm so there’ll be time for people to see the Future Fashion Landscapes exhibition, as well as the Art You Lost? installation and Anna Clough’s Fold Anew piece before and after the panel.

The Cruck Barn is a cold partially outdoor venue, with the surrounding grass being slippery if it is wet weather. Please bear this in mind and wrap up very warm!
