Event description

Description

A lecture by the Lord David Willetts, former Minister of State for Universities and Science.

Higher Education is going through a period of immense change. There is a new regulatory landscape, greater competition between providers, new technological developments which could transform teaching and a changing European and international political environment. To offer his views on which changes may have more long-term significance, David Willetts will give a lecture on ‘The Future of Higher Education’. It will be followed by a question and answer session.

David Willetts was Member of Parliament for Havant from 1992-2015 and from 2010-14 he was Minister for Universities and Science in the Coalition Government. He became Lord Willetts in 2015 and is currently Executive Chair of The Resolution Foundation think-tank, a Visiting Professor at King’s College, London, and Chair of the Advisory Board to The Times Higher.
