The event will showcase recent publication below that have involved LETI members with a lively debate, focusing on actions for design professionals in light of the climate emergency. This event is about sharing knowledge and learning from one another, so that we can implement much needed change now. It is organised by LETI and open to everyone.

Speakers include:

  • Adam Mctavish on the UK housing: Fit for the future? Report by the Committee on Climate Change
  • Julie Godefroy on the report for the Green Construction Board on BEIS’s Buildings Energy Mission
  • Richard Twinn on the UKGBC Net Zero Carbon framework
  • Susie Diamond on the Overheating in homes research for the Good Homes Alliance
  • Chris Twinn on his Heat Autonomy research as part of CIBSE symposium

    We will also give an update on what LETI has been working on over the last few months, and our progression toward technical guidance on requirements for new buildings that meet our climate change targets.

Our vision is to understand and clarify what this means in the built environment and develop the actions needed to meet the UK climate change targets.

    Our volunteers are made up of developers, engineers, housing associations, architects, planners, academics, sustainability professionals, contractors and facilities managers, with support and input provided by local authorities and other organisations.
