The Future of Justice - Making Justice Real for Children

Join former Director of Public Prosecutions Sir Keir Starmer MP, leading policymakers, practitioners and academic experts as we explore how we can better protect young people and secure their rights.

The Future of Justice is organised by the Rights and Justice Research Priority Area at The University of Nottingham. It will consist of a series of expert academic presentations and responses from policy experts and practitioners on key contemporary justice issues involving children and young people:

Young offenders, self-harm and suicide prevention
Young suspects’ legal rights and digital solutions
How children become invisible in child protection work

Important information about attending an event at the Houses of Parliament

The Houses of Parliament has strict security arrangements.

Please allow 30 minutes to clear security and get to the meeting room.
If you are attending more than one event in different locations within the Houses of Parliament, you will not be able to simply walk between these venues. You will need to pass through security again. Please allow time for this.
