The Future of Leadership in the Age of AI: From Burnout to Breakthrough
Lecture by Professor Dame Vlatka Ariaana Hlupic
This talk will explore how organisations need to be led and what type of organisational
culture they need to establish so they could become future ready, innovative, healthy and
successful workplaces in a rapidly evolving world shaped by artificial intelligence.
The session will address the urgent need to move away from traditional “command and
control” management toward a more collaborative, inclusive, and human-centred leadership
style capable of fostering resilient and flourishing workplaces. It will be demonstrated how
embracing mindset and culture change can increase engagement, innovation, and overall
performance while combatting the pervasive risks of leader and employee burnout.
Drawing on The Management Shift, an evidence-based system for individual and
organisational transformation used by various organisations globally, a clear roadmap for
leadership style and organisational culture needed for creating high performing and healthier
workplaces in the age of AI will be presented.
Practical techniques to kickstart meaningful change and create tangible outcomes will be
shared as well as some real examples from organisations that have gone through this
journey of transformation in an era that calls not just for technological adaptation but for a
profound human-centred leadership breakthrough.
