Event description

Description

This event is sponsored by the Anglican Communion Office as part of the preparations for the Lambeth Conference 2020.

We are hosting an inspiring and forward-looking conversation which will highlight fruitful and innovative approaches to ministry training. Our aim is to provide for faithful, inspiring leadership for the Anglican churches of the twenty-first century—leadership that is spiritually faithful, theologically equipped, and practically innovative. This will be an opportunity to think deeply and widely with brothers and sisters in Christ, with representation from across the globe.

The program includes a full-day conference at St Mellitus College in London on July 21st, just prior to Lambeth, where we will focus on the key principles of Christian leadership formation with a series of outstanding speakers, followed by two evening gatherings during the Conference itself, in order to deepen partnerships among bishops, dioceses, and institutions (TBA).

Our aim is to equip bishops and other leaders with a vision for the future leadership of their area, diocese, or province, to encourage a sense of expectancy for what is possible, and to seek God’s guidance. There will be opportunity to share advice, best practices, and support for those seeking to develop new ideas around leadership training.

We sense that God is leading us to a new level of reflection and action to prepare the future leadership of the Anglican Communion. We are excited to share this event with you and hope you can join us.
