Event description

Description

As we move forward, streaming companies will lead the industry in big data and predictive analytics, as labels have to bend artists further to the demands of the consumers. Music creators and labels globally have had to change how they make money: first towards digital downloads and now to streaming in general.

The big questions are now: what are the fundamental changes that streaming has made to the music industry? What are the challenges that artists face now? And what will they face in the future as individual sales decline further? Are tech startups sucking even more value out of the music industry to negative effects? Will streaming in fact open new revenues streams for artists and perhaps help breed independent artists?

We have got a very exciting panel for you to lead the discussion. Joining us will be:

Eric Harle, Founder, DEF Management

Carlotta de Ninni, Head of Research, Mycelia

Guillaume Descottes, Founder, Disc Museum

Julian Deane, Managing Director, Raygun

Moderator: Chris Cooke, Founder, CMU Insights

The timings for the meetup are:

6 30pm: Arrival & Registration

7 00pm: Introductions

7 10pm: Panel Discussion

8:15pm: Networking!

9:00pm: Close
