The Future of Transport in London
Fri 24 March 2017, 12:30 – 16:45 GMT
Come and debate how digital technology and shared transport could help achieve better outcomes in London.
Date: Friday 24th March
Time: 12.30 for buffet lunch, 13.00 - 16.45, followed by drinks and networking
Venue: London's Living Room, City Hall, London SE1 2AA
Over the last few years, new technologies and business models – online journey planners, ride-hailing and car and bike share and other shared transport - have increasingly disrupted transport behaviours. These developments have accelerated the move away from private vehicle ownership, to multi-modal usage and transport services.
London has an opportunity to ensure these changes complement existing efforts to reduce air pollution, congestion, socioeconomic exclusion and other negative outcomes.
This event will bring together experts from across the transport industry, London government and community and campaigning organisations to debate the future of London’s transport in light of recent technological developments. In particular, we shall explore what can be done to ensure new technologies and behaviours can be maximised while delivering London-wide benefits.
Join us on the 24th March to be part of the debate on how London can lead the intelligent transport agenda.
More details, including a full programme, shall be sent in due course.
