The world relies on transport systems to keep it moving and efficient travel is at the heart of a successful economy. Across road, rail and air, the University and its industrial partners are making transport quicker, greener, smarter and cheaper.

The UK faces a huge challenge to deliver additional capacity and efficiency, to meet society’s growing expectations and economic demands. Intelligent mobility and cutting edge technology can meet these challenges – if they are supported by the right partnerships.

The Midlands has always been at the heart of transport innovation. With partners Rolls-Royce, which has had a 20-year collaboration with the University, and the Transport Systems Catapult, we will showcase the latest technologies and hear how they promise to transform our world.

Important information about attending an event at the Houses of Parliament

The Houses of Parliament has very strict security arrangements.

Guests need to show printed tickets to their event at security. Electronic tickets will not be accepted.
Please allow 30 minutes to clear security and get to the meeting room.
If you are attending more than one event and they are in different rooms or building within the Houses of Parliament, you will not be able to simply walk between locations. You will need to pass through security again. Please allow time for this.
Any bags will be put through a security scan on entrance. A list of prohibited items and other security requirements can be found on the Houses of Parliament website.
