Grover is staging our second community event in Berlin!
This time, our theme is Wearable Technology.
Wearable technology includes any tech you can put on or in your body. Electronics incorporated in fashion, wearable fitness trackers, and communications devices are just a few examples.
Join us at Betahaus Berlin on the 31st of May for an exploration of the future of wearable technology.
The evening will contain opportunities to meet other people in the Grover community and the wearable tech community who share the love of fresh technology and the adventures it brings. Join us for a series of talks and demos about wearable technology and networking opportunities with the Berlin tech and startup scene.
Attendance will not be limited, the more the merrier!
Featured Speakers & Demos include:
- Christoph Unbescheidt, Autodesk
Christoph is a Product Designer at Autodesk who uses their imaging technology to make futuristic wearable products. He will show us living technological systems he has been designing that can be worn on the body to enhance human abilities, and is planning to present a live 3D printing demonstration.
- Nayara Moira, Women of Wearables
Nayara is the Berlin representative for the Women of Wearables group, a network of women working with wearable technologies. She will introduce us to the trends of the future and the importance of diversity in the tech world.
- Tracy Rolling, Tech Maker
Tracy is a consultant focused on emerging technology, most recently working with Philips on connected health tracking devices. She will discuss her work using smart watches and the quantified self.
- Christoph Hanser, Luzpac
Christoph has created the Luzpac, a versatile and stylish outdoor bag featuring a lightweight solar panel and powerbank. He will speak on the topic of wearables with sustainable solar energy technology.
- Layla Mueller, Fashion Designer
Layla is currently a designer in residence at ElektroCouture, and has presented her fashion tech prototypes at Berlin Fashion Week. She will present on her work and the fashion tech collection she is working on right now,
