Description

THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT. Please email alumni@port.ac.uk to be added to a waiting list.

To celebrate the Year of Engineering and the International Day of Women in Engineering, the Mary Rose Trust and the University of Portsmouth are holding an event to network, share experiences and discuss the future of women in engineering.

Over drinks and canapes you will have the chance to meet people who are working in the field, as well as those interested in encouraging engineering careers in young women. Take this opportunity to ask questions and join in the discussion on how we can support the next generation.

The event will be chaired by Dr Eleanor Schofield, Head of Conservation and Collection Care at the Mary Rose Museum and will be joined by representatives from The Girls Network, Education Business Partnership, Imperial College London/The Royal Academy of Engineering, The Portsmouth Grammar School and the University of Portsmouth.

Date: Thursday 21 June 2018
Time: 6:30 to 9:00 pm
Venue: The Mary Rose Museum, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

The event is free and open to the public, but places are limited so please reserve your place by Monday 11 June 2018, 5 pm.

Please note, due to the strict security at the Historic Dockyard, we will require the name of everyone attending and ask that people bring a form of ID to attend on the night.
