Description

Welcome to the New world of work in 2030 – it’s leaner, agile and enabling, with leaders who engage authentically and employees who are self managing. Or is it?

The futurists predict 4 types of organisation that could exist in 2030, and are we ready for any of them? As businesses we work to 3-5 year plans, but these just deal with the issues we face today, they don’t set our organisations up for the future - we are always struggling to match the pace of change. We now have 5 generations in the workplace and by 2025 Generation Z will be 49% of the population and a 1/3 of the working population, so are we ready for how we set them up & continue to develop our people to meet the future we will inevitably face?

In this interactive session, aimed not just at HR specialists but also leaders of any function, we will explore the following concepts, discuss current challenges that are facing all organisations in the next 10 years, and consider how to apply the key steps needed to future proof how we work in our organisations.

Session Objectives:
· Consider the impact of technology and the speed of change
· Appreciate the need for different business models - moving away from hierarchical structures and processes with employees demanding more autonomy and flexibility
· Highlight the expectations of employees in 10 years time compared with today or 5 years ago, and recognise the changes needed to future proof our working world
· Recognise your role in the changing world of work and how to build for succession
