About this event

Led by Dr Laura Aguiar from Ulster University and Bronagh McAtasney, Public Engagement Manager, Heritage & Education from Northern Ireland Screen.

Dive into the world of filmmaking at this hands-on two-day camp for 10-15 year olds!

Explore archive footage showing how technology in the workplace has changed – from giant computers in the 1960s, to large assembly lines and robots.

Get creative and turn your ideas into your own short film, created and directed by you!

Learn professional filmmaking skills, try out legendary presenter Charlie Witherspoon’s retro interviewing style, and make films that will be added to Northern Ireland Screen’s Digital Film Archive.

Past meets present in a camp full of creativity, cameras, and tech!

No previous experience required, but availability to attend both days is required.

  • 31 October 11am-4pm - Workshop 1
  • 1 October 11am-4pm - Workshop 2

Filmmaking equipment and lunch will be provided.
