The latest in the Trust's series of National Webinars, hosted by the North of Scotland Group.
Discover more about the dramatic-looking colourful galls and the fascinating stories about what causes them. Galls are abnormal growth on plants that are caused by a wide range of different organisms, including insects, mites, fungi and bacteria. Ecologist and photographer Alan Watson Featherstone (founder of Trees for Life) will share with us how to identify galls as well as giving insights into their remarkable life cycles and their role in the ecosystem. The talk will be accompanied by Alan's high quality photographs that illustrate the diverse shapes, colours and structures of galls, which in some cases have to be seen to be believed!
Booking essential. This family friendly event will be conducted via a Zoom video link and joining details will be sent upon booking. Please note that this webinar may be recorded for public viewing later.
