How do I get to The Gathering by train?

Accepted Answer

Aviemore is served directly by ScotRail (from Inverness, Stirling, Perth, Edinburgh, Glasgow), LNER (one service per day - departing London King’s Cross at 12.00pm) and the Caledonian Sleeper (one service departing London at Euston).

How do I get to The Gathering  by bus?

Accepted Answer

Aviemore is served well by coach using MegaBus and Scottish Citylink connecting all the major Scottish Cities. Buses from the north can travel through Carrbridge and or a change can take you to Grantown on Spey. Booked in advance fares are also very reasonable.

Question 3

How do I get to The Gathering by car?

Accepted Answer

From the south (Edinburgh & Perth), travel north from Perth on the A9, turn right off the A9 at the Grantown on Spey / Carrbridge junction (A95) north of Aviemore. From the north travelling south from Inverness on the A9, turn left off the A9 at the Carrbridge / Grantown on Spey junction.

How do I get to The Gathering by bike?

Accepted Answer

Boat of Garten is on Cycle Route 7 and Speyside Way which links Boat of Garten to Aviemore as well as the Cairngorms National Park to further a field in the Highlands and Scotland. The route details can be found on the Sustrans website.

Question 5

What is the dress code for The Gathering?

Accepted Answer

There is no strict dress code. During the day, where whatever feels comfortable.  You're in the north of Scotland in May so remember that the weather will likely be a little chilly at times. In the evening, feel free to dress up a bit more, especially for the dinner, dance on Thursday evening.

If I'm no longer able to attend in-person. are refunds available?

Accepted Answer

Yes, full ticket refunds are available.  Please contact us as soon as you know that you cannot attend and we will organise for your ticket to be refunded.

Question 7

Can I swap my ticket from the All Access Pass to another ticket type?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we're happy to swap your ticket if you're no longer able to attend both days of The Gathering. Please purchase the ticket/pass that now suits you, let us know that you can no longer attend both days and we will refund your All Access Pass.

Question 8

Are the event venues fully accessible?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all of the venues that we're using over the 2 days are fully accessible. If you have specific accessibility needs please contact us and we'll make sure that they are catered for.
