The Gathering 2022 - Launch & Lunch Cafe

It's hard to believe but it’s been 3 years since we were last able to organise an in-person Gathering. Way back in September 2019, we got together at The Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa on the Angus coast to discuss all the opportunities and challenges related to rural and islands mobility.

The events that we've experienced since then (both global and local) only reinforce the importance of working together to solve the accessibility, affordability and sustainability issues facing rural and islands communities inside and outside Scotland.

The great news is that this year The Gathering returns to the physical as well as virtual world. On Wednesday September 14th and Thursday September 15th, we'll get together in Boat of Garten which is located just outside Aviemore in the very scenic Scottish Highlands.

We're running The Gathering over 2 days because we want to make your visit a highly memorable one. What does memorable mean? Well, let's just say that we're organising indoor and outdoor experiences that will stimulate all of your senses and give you a real flavour of what this part of the Scottish Highlands has to offer.

At SRITC we're generally very humble about the work we do. However, we're really excited that The 2022 Gathering will be a one of a kind event that you really don't want to miss out on.

• The Visits - We've organised exclusive visits to some of the area's biggest attractions
• The Warmup - On the evening of Wednesday 14th September we have a special warm up event planned that will titillate your ears and your tastebuds.
• The Main Event - The programme for the "conference" part of The Gathering
• The Post Event Dinner, Dance & Inaugural Awards Ceremony - To bring The 2022 Gathering to a close we've got a very Scottish themed evening planned plus the very first SRITC Annual Awards Ceremony.
• Registration and Ticket Prices - We've created a range of "passes" for The Gathering that will enable you to join some or all of the above activities and events.

Before you register, you'll of course want to know about accommodation and transportation options so fear not, we'll also cover that as well.

If you can't make it in-person to The Gathering then we've also got you covered as you'll be able to join online (Thursday Main Event only) and participate in the panel discussions and workshops.
