The Gibson experiments with extraordinary cocktails - special new session
Sat 24 June 2017, 14:00 – 15:30 BST
For fans of brilliantly creative and adventurously exquisite cocktails, this special new session is perfect for you. Immerse yourself in the distinctive, outlandish style of one of the best bars in the world, that everyone is talking about right now.
The Gibson in Clerkenwell, London EC1, is the no.6 best bar in the World’s 50 Best Bars. Its extraordinarily imaginative cocktail menu surprises fans of discerning cocktails – especially those who are fascinated to watch the theatre of expert cocktail making.
Owner Marian Beke is the wizard of taste sensations and dramatic flourishes. For the first time, The Gibson is hosting sessions for ultimate cocktail enthusiasts. Sit close up to the action at the bar to watch the intricacy of Marian’s creativity, and hear, talk and taste in this experience of precision and spontaneity.
During this masterclass, which will dazzle your palate, you can taste a variety of adventurous alcoholic and intricate house-made ingredients. Ever tasted Lions Mane mushroom, Indian lilac or orris nougat cream? Marshmallow tea, myrrh or virgin poppy oil? Or what kinds of gins are best for a classic Gibson martini?
This session is for a small group, so it’s also an opportunity to ask tips and questions from one of the world’s acknowledged cocktail innovators. It includes good tasters of four cocktails, chosen from the new menu, and which will be made during this session.
The Gibson will be open after the session for regular bar service, so you are welcome to stay on.
Come by yourself or with a friend or two for this friendly, relaxed afternoon.
Places at the bar are limited, so book your ticket soon!
