Event description

Description

The 3rd Annual Glasgow Imaging Network Symposium

The Glasgow Imaging Network brings together researchers from across Glasgow to share our capabilities and needs, primarily in microscopy. This meeting will be a great opportunity to connect researchers, foster collaborations and make the most of equipment and expertise available within Glasgow.

We hope you can join us at our 3rd annual one-day conference on Monday, August 19th 2019 at the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research.

The conference will include oral presentations and poster presentations from various research areas across the University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde, Beatson Institute for Cancer Research and Glasgow Caledonian University. One of the highlights will be an invited talk by Prof. Paul French from Imperial College London, an expert in cutting-edge microscopy techniques.

Submitting a Poster

There will be the opportunity to bring a poster along for discussion during the breaks and lunchtime, as well as a poster competition with a prize of a Nikon Camera, generously provided by Nikon. This year, we are trying something a little different for the poster session. To improve the amount of information we can share within the limited social times, we would like you to provide a poster formatted with a super quick template. This should be quick and easy to put together, and to encourage this format, only posters within this template will be eligible for the poster prize. More info on the rationale and idea behind this can be found here and the templates can be found here.

Spaces for posters are limited so if you would like to present a poster, send your completed poster template to glasgowimagingnetwork@gmail.com

Poster submission deadline is on July 31st 2019.
The registration deadline is on August 9th 2019.
