The Great Get Together Warm-Up Session for Faith & Community Groups
Wed 3 May 2017, 17:30 – 19:00 BST
Jo Cox MP lived her life spreading her belief that we have more in common than divides us.
In that spirit, her family and friends are inviting people across the country to mark the anniversary of her murder by organising or attending a celebration in their community on 17-18 June.
Near Neighbours is joining with the Jo Cox Foundation in inviting you to hold a Great Get Together in your community.
Near Neighbours West London (Kings Centre Southall) are organising a meeting on the evening of Wednesday 3rd May for representatives from faith and community groups to come along and find out everything they need to know about hosting their own Great Get Together!
This event will include:
- Speakers from 3FF, the Jo Cox Foundation & The Big Iftar
- The chance to ask questions & share ideas to help you in planning your own event
- The opportunity to sign up to receive your information pack ahead of the big weekend (17th-18th June)
- Tips on making your event faith friendly: how to involve those who are fasting for Ramadan, observing Shabbat on the Saturday or ideas for faith groups to incorporate The Great Get Together in their activities that weekend.
- Networking opportunity
- Light refreshments
