Event description

Description

Covering 1215 miles from John O’Groats to Land’s End in March 2019, The Great Rugby Cycle is a charity cycling event to raise funds and awareness for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.

The peloton is travelling through Scotland and England during the latter part of the 2019 Six Nations Championship featuring rugby legends and stars from sport & TV.

Doddie Weir, the former Scotland and British and Irish Lions rugby player, revealed he was suffering from Motor Neurone Disease. From the outset, Doddie has been driven to help fellow sufferers and seek ways to further research into this, yet, incurable disease.

My Name’5 Doddie Foundation was launched in November 2017 and its aims are simple; to raise funds to aid research into the causes of MND and investigate potential cures and to support this affected by this devastating disease.

Join the peloton for the final 74 miles of the event from Camelford to Land's End with Rugby legends, Carl Hayman, Tim Stimpson, Tom May, Thom Evans & Ollie Phillips.

Transport will be provided from Land's End to Camelford after the cycle.

Price includes:

- Fully supported and escorted ride by The Road Shepherds.

- Food & refreshemnets with comfort stops along the way.

- Event branded T-shirt.

- Transported by bus from Land's End back to the original starting point in Camelford.
