About this event
- Event lasts 4 hours
- Ages 18+
At a time when everything feels too much - grief, war, genocide, burnout, the ache of disconnection - this gathering, under the energy of the full moon, is a place to lay it all down.
Join us for a 4-hour, in-person space of collective care, ceremony and creativity. We’ll be tending to our grief, connecting with our bodies, our voices and remembering our place in the wider web of resistance and renewal.Together, we’ll move through three 1 x hour sessions with breaks:
- 🖤 A grief-tending ceremony to honour what we’re carrying
- 🌿 Movement, meditation and internal reflection to find stillness and clarity
- 🎶 Singing and exploring our power through voice in communityJoin us if you feel compelled to sit in community, be held in your grief in these times and experience the power of singing and sharing together. You do not have to be able to sing like Beyoncé or Bruno Mars! This is about building a space where you feel comfortable to unleash the very essence of yourself - your voice. Lean into the group - that’s what it is there for! We particularly welcome people of all ages from the global majority, queer, trans, women and non-binary folk. This is for those who recognise the importance of community while we figure out how to resist, survive—and thrive—together.
Please note that while we sincerely hope that people will feel emotional and therapeutic benefits from attending the session, we are not licensed therapists and we ask that participants are mindful of their own mental health during the session.
All profits will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians.Where:Plot 9 is a living breathing oasis of wonder, connection and peace in the middle of the City.
