As part of the European-wide Local Democracy Week, Brent council is hosting the Great Youth Debate where young people from four schools in the borough will get to discuss and debate on issues of local importance. A judging panel comprising of three councillors will determine which school wins, the winning school will receive a trophy for their victory.
All schools taking part will be offered the opportunity to take part in Rock Enrol!, a workshop aimed at encouraging young people to get their voices heard. There will be three debates – the winners of the first two will debate against each other to determine an overall winner.
