Event description

Description

The Greater Manchester Community Pharmacy Conference 2017 is a must-attend event for all pharmacy contractors, pharmacists and key pharmacy staff members working in the Greater Manchester area. Nationally community pharmacy has had an extremely challenging period, yet we also know we contribute enormous value to people's health and wellbeing. With the devolution of health and social care in Greater Manchester, this event is your opportunity to find out what the future holds, share your thoughts and ideas, and discuss it with colleagues and influencers. (View the draft agenda.)

This one-day event includes briefings and discussion on key issues affecting community pharmacy, and a fantastic programme of continuing professional development seminars. The keynote speaker is Jon Rouse, Chief Officer of Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership, who leads the city region's devolved health and social care services and was formerly a senior Department of Health official. Jon will highlight what devolution means for community pharmacy, and what community pharmacy should be looking for from future progress.

Our seminar programme will enable delegates to enhance their clinical, professional and business skills. Change can be difficult but the sessions on offer will equip all attendees with the knowledge and confidence to support patients and staff, enhance quality, and ensure their businesses remain strong.

The day includes Greater Manchester Local Pharmaceutical Committee's AGM and presentation of its 2016/17 annual accounts.
