The purpose of the workshop

The GM Falls Collaborative strategy group and key stakeholders across the integrated care system have been working in partnership over the past year to develop the ‘Greater Manchester Falls Collaborative system-wide joint action plan’. Initiated at the launch of the collaborative in January 2023, we are now in a position to start to accelerate its delivery and implementation, whilst reflecting and celebrating what we have already accomplished over the last 12 months. The workshop will provide the opportunity to review what is happening across the system in relation to falls prevention and frailty, so that we can make sure all our work is joined up and coordinated effectively.

Our aims for the day

To celebrate and showcase the progress of several projects and policies developed over the past 12 months aligned to the GM vision for falls and frailty prevention across the life course.
To provide the opportunity for attendees to update and share activities, update on progress, and discuss priorities related to falls prevention in their neighbourhoods and localities.
To invite colleagues from across the system to sign-up and commit to delivering on the joint action plan by supporting a range of ‘task and finish groups’ to drive forward its delivery and implementation.

The final agenda will be shared prior to the event.
