A 1-hour illustrated presentation on David's research which was undertaken into a property in Bideford, which turned out to have significant connections to Sir Richard Grenville, and which turned out to be the only place where he could have been born. A plaque has now been erected on this building to record the birthplace of this significant historical figure. The talk will also take an overview look at the Grenvilles in Bideford, how long they were instrumental in running the town, and what happened to them.
After the talk, there is a period for questions.
A donation of £2 per person will be collected at the door.
Refreshments available after the talk - £2 per cup of tea or coffee.
